Fold on the lines and Pray for Ray! old time religion
ON Ray's website, a banner reads "Ray was promoted to heaven...God willing his ministry on this website will continue" so I guess one would have to pry the site out of his cold, dead fingers. Ray was not one to avoid using technology or good ideas to spread his message. Witness this postcard. On the reverse, one is instructed to fold it in the middle and prop it up ON YOUR RADIO as a listening reminder! Clever. Ray did not like "lustful exhibitions" unlike most healthy young men, so he hit the road in his giant Airstream "Cathedral Caraven" and spread the word.
Ray's radio show "God's News Behind the News" was broadcast for over 50 years.
To place that in proper perspective, that is 30 years longer than the Simpsons!
Among Ray's free e-books are:
666 - Is the Antichrist Now Here
Can the Court close the Churches?
Computers in the End-Time
UFO's and the Bible
Ray's website includes a personal "God Survey" you can fill in and send. It also include a cool photo album, complete with moving graphics of Ray's gospel trailer riding along the highways of sin, giant speaker blaring salvation.
Pray for Ray postcard, circa 1950. Collection Jim Linderman

So interesting. I've never heard of him before, and I just found out he passed into glory just last year.
ReplyDeleteModern churches today don't seem to be doing a very good job of teaching us young folks about our Christian heritage and history.
I'm glad to have found your site to learn about these pioneers.
